The Chronically UnderTouched (CUT) Project


The Chronically UnderTouched (CUT) Project is the body of thinking born out of facilitator and visionary Aaron Johnson’s development and tracking of the Chronically UnderTouched trauma story in the United States. It’s a movement supporting People of the Global Majority — people of color — to access healthy, nourishing, platonic touch in a culture that denies it at every turn.

Unrested Labor

                            
Grief to Action is a semi-mobile camp with a land-based community in the Mojave Desert of California. The land and sanctuary are Black-tended and Black-led, centering grief support for African-heritage folks and all People of the Global Majority. The Unrested Labor microsite and fundraiser event share the foundational thinking and history upon which the project is built.

Seattle Design Festival: BALANCE


Seattle Design Festival: BALANCE asks how can design foster greater equilibrium within ourselves and with the natural world to restore balance?

A fluid and active festival theme wordmark to honor the Seattle Design Festival breaking free of its logo-frame convention. Instead, SDF logo completes the fourth corner. Faded corner brackets suggest where the frame had been.

In a concept phase animation, the coral-aqua gradient swirls as it seeks equilibrium.

Screen printed tees at the Festival launch party clothed Festival volunteers (and balloons) in brand-colored unity.

Wayfinding throughout Lake Union Park meant affordable banners to lead between large-scale installations and chalk sidewalk stencils.
